Youth Acrobata World
Dissemination
Youth Acrobata World planned a detailed dissemination strategy with several tools and events for different targets.
One of the most important activities was the one that directly involved the participants from Kenya and Colombia: after each training course, they returned to their countries and train other dozens young artists, spreading the good practices of the project, increasing social and professional inclusion and testing the formative path.
The dissemination strategy included:
An audiovisual documentary about the project, describing the social impact of circus
A conference-show at IULM University in Milan. An international presentation in front of hundreds of students, with academics and circus professionals. It pointed out the outcomes of the project and showed the potential of circus as social tool. It was conceived as a real show, including several live performances of Youth Acrobata World’s participants
An open access media kit with the training paths methodologies, the contents and indicators needed to define the new youth worker profile and to replicate the model in other contexts
A publication for Italian publishing house Bulzoni collecting essays and testimonies of Youth Acrobata World’s teachers, trainers and participants. A guide for live entertainment students, for other professionals and for those want to approach circus as a profession and as a social tool
Moments of external sharing. In January 2020 the European Circus Association presented the formative path during the International Circus Festival of Monte Carlo, the most important circus kermess in the world. ECA talked about the good practices of Youth Acrobata World also during its General Meeting on March 31st 2021
A presentation at the ECA General Members Meeting. An international conference where all the results of Youth Acrobata World and the value of social circus were disseminated at a transnational level. The audience was composed by the most important circus and festival directors from whole Europe
Online content. Dedicated webpages on Circo e dintorni’s website were created with texts, images, videos and web-stories to tell the whole process of the projects, its aims and results and to be a repository of the products realized under Open Licence, such as the media kit and the video-documentary. In addition, a page about the project on IULM University website was created to reach communication and live entertainment students
Social network content. Youth Acrobata World has been spread on Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin through posts introducing the project, the participants, the formative path and telling the power of circus in social inclusion
Press releases, articles and services on regional, national and international TV, newspapers, magazines and websites
Newsletters. Every partner has informed its network about Youth Acrobata World’s development. In particular, ECA have updated its members from all Europe spreading its good practices
Beside teachers, operators and youth workers directly involved, Youth Acrobata World’s targets are live entertainment students, aspiring cultural operators, international circus stakeholders (artists, directors and organizers), academics, social workers, cultural mediators, representatives of institutions sensitized to capacity building and inclusion for the youth, common people committed to social issues.
